Live Event Photography in Brisbane: The BIG Bubble Show in Space at West End Electric

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing The Big Bubble Show in Space at West End Electric a production packed with giant soap bubbles, larger-than-life stage lighting, and a room full of genuinely delighted kids and parents. It was a brief that covered a bit of everything: production stills for the show itself, live entertainment coverage, and a branding shoot for the performers, all in one session.

Photographing live productions is always a little chaotic, you're working in low light, chasing unpredictable moments, and trying to be everywhere at once. That's part of what I love about it. But this one hit differently. Watching a giant bubble stretch metres into the air over an awestruck audience, or catching a kid's face light up mid bubble-gun-fire, is the kind of thing that reminds you why you picked up a camera in the first place.
